This Project is an ongoing project that I am using as an introduction into the new mechanics of
Unreal Engine 5, made in Unreal Engine 4.
The game is built as first person shooter with many mechanics commonly found in other
shooter games. The focus will be a time challenge kill room, with multiple weapon types
including Primary (rifle, SMG, etc.) Secondary (Pistols, etc.) and Items (grenades, breaching charges)
The overall goal for this project is to introduce myself into some of the new features in the Unreal 5 Engine.
Recreating mechanics from other games and as well as creating new more challenging mechanics I have not yet attempted.

One goal of this project is to have a series of different weapon types based off of a base weapon class. Each weapon would have its own stats as close to real world weapon version as I can. Some weapons will have special features such as bi-bod stability, or barrel attachments.

Items in the concept of the game will include things like ammo, armor, and health pickups. Other items will include things like breaching charges for opening locked doors, several types of grenades such as smoke, fragmentation, and stun.
As whole project, my goal is to gain new experience as a developer and within Unreal Engine 5. With my experience in Unreal Engine 4 the learning curve shouldn't be too great when looking at the engine itself, so most of my energy will be focused on leaning new engine features, and creating new gameplay mechanics.
